What is the minium number of hours I can hire a Deputy for an off duty job?

What if I have alcohol being served at my event?
If alcohol is being served at your event, you will need an minimum of 2 deputies and you will need to provide your ABC permit number on the application below.
After I fill out the application, how do I know if my request has been approved?
Once your request is recieved it will be reviewed. If approved, an email will be sent to you with additional information and a link to our Roll Kall website with instructions on how to pay for your request. Please keep in mind that for some private one-time events prepayment is required.
Do you accept cash or check for payment?
No. Payment is made by debit or credit card through the Roll Kall website.
What is the cancellation policy if my event is canceled?
If you need to cancel a job, you should contact UCSO at 704-283-3789 and speak to a dispatcher. Please make note of the dispatcher’s name. It is not sufficient to leave a voicemail. If you do not reach a dispatcher, please contact the Off Duty Coordinator at 704-292-2686. You will need either the Job ID# (preferred) or the job Date and Client Name.
How many hours in advance do I need to give if my event is canceled?
You can cancel your job up to 12hrs before the job start time with no penalty. For jobs canceled by the client within 12hrs of the job start, the vendor will be charged $40 (1 hour) per deputy. If no notice of cancellation is given, you will be charged $120 (3 hours) per deputy.
What are off duty deputies not allowed to do?
- UCSO employees may not check ID for entry or for alcohol sales.
- UCSO employees may not search people or bags for event entry.
- UCSO employees may not provide security for division of marital property without a valid and specific judicial order to that effect.
- UCSO employees may not tell someone to leave private property when they are not welcomed. This must be done by a person in control of the property, (controlling party).
- UCSO Deputies may charge or arrest a trespasser who remains on the property after being told to leave by the controlling party.
- The controlling party may be subpoenaed as a witness if any criminal charges result from the event.
