Earlier this week, UCSO detectives concluded their investigation into the death of twentyyear- old Rachel Bjelde of Indian Trail, NC, which occurred in December of 2021. During their investigation, detectives learned that Bjelde died as a direct result of a Fentanyl overdose. UCSO criminal investigators have worked diligently over the past several months collecting evidence pertaining to the identification of the distributor of the Fentanyl which caused the death of Ms. Bjelde. At the conclusion of the investigation, UCSO detectives were able to identify Misty J. Davis of Charlotte, NC as the distributor of the Fentanyl which ultimately led to the victim’s death.

Both Knight and Davis were transported to the Union County Jail and subsequently charged with numerous offenses to include two counts of Felony Trafficking in Opium/Heroin and one count of Felony PWIMSD SCH II CS.

While at the Union County Jail, Misty J.
