INMATE VISITS UPDATE (March 17, 2020)
Effective immediately, all inmate visits will be conducted OFFSITE only. Visits should be scheduled through ICSolutions. This visitation restriction will last until at least April 20, 2020.
The magistrate's office is still open to the public.
Inmates can be contacted during visitation time by telephone or mail.
Visitation
Inmates are allowed up to two 25 minute visits a day, and visitation is limited to Thursday through Sunday, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Visits should be scheduled through ICSolutions at www.ICSolution.com.
Onsite Video Visitation: Visitors may schedule an onsite visit through ICSolutions. On site visits will only be held on Saturdays and Sundays of each week. All visitors must be scheduled and bring a valid US issued ID to visit. Only one adult (16 and older) may visit per scheduled visit. Youth (15 and younger) (only one per visitor) may accompany the Adult visitor.
Offsite Video Visitation is now available. Visitors may schedule an offsite visit through ICSolutions. Offsite visits may be held through the ICS mobile App or on a PC.
Visitors must abide by all visitation rule set by the Union County Detention Center for Onsite and Offsite visits.

All incoming postal mail is required to have a full return name and address listed in the top left corner of the envelope. Please address the letter as followed:

Safe Mail
The Union County Detention Center does not allow money orders, checks, cash, books, explicit photographs or materials, or food items. To contribute to an inmate’s trust account, you can visit the Jail ATM kiosk located at the jail. You can also deposit money online through www.jailATM.com.
TextBehind
The TextBehind mobile app allows for family and friends to send text messages, photos, and letter to Inmate housed in the Union County Detention Center. You may visit www.textbehind.com for more information.
Medications
The Union County Jail Medical Department does NOT accept bottles containing medications. However, the Medical Department DOES accept EMPTY prescription bottles only. The Medical Staff will verify valid prescribed medications and the empty bottles are then properly discarded. Once validated, Medical Staff will order new prescriptions, as appropriate.
All medications and bottles left at the jail will be discarded. For medications regarding patient inmates undergoing treatment for cancer, HIV, Hepatitis C, someone prescribed bronchial inhalers or other chronic medical condition, please call the Medical Department at 704-283-3530.
