Late last week, Union County Sheriff`s Office (UCSO) Narcotics Bureau detectives and Warrant Squad deputies arrested 29-year-old Tyzhe Hough and 27-year-old Jennifer Nixon following an extensive, joint narcotics interdiction operation which was initiated by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD). During the multi-agency investigation, Hough and Nixon were identified as Union County residents who were selling large quantities of illicit, street-pressed fentanyl pills. Hough and Nixon were taken into custody without issue and UCSO detectives, along with assistance from the Monroe Police Department’s Violent Crimes Task Force, conducted a search warrant at the suspect’s residence located in the 500 block of East Tallyrand Avenue in Monroe. During the search, detectives located and seized several thousand illicit, street-pressed fentanyl pills. Hough and Nixon have been charged with the offenses listed below and processed into the Union County Detention Center where they remain in custody.

Sheriff Eddie Cathey adds “This was a team effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The lives that will be saved from this large-scale fentanyl seizure and the arrests of these two traffickers could number in the thousands and I commend everyone involved in this investigation for their hard work and dedication.”
